Dell Publishing is a publisher of books, magazines and comic books which was founded in 1921 by George T. Delacorte Jr. Important Added Info: Note that this is a bound volume of four Four Color Comics (#36 through #39) published by Dell Publishing. Apparently, someone at the company had bound volumes like these created, likely soon after the comics were published (this bound volume has the names of the individual comics contained within printed in bold on the spine of the bound volume). This bound volume has four comics in it: Smilin' Jack (Four Color #36), Bringing Up Father (Four Color #37), Roy Rogers Comics (Four Color #38), and Oswald The Rabbit (Four Color #39). Our consignor obtained this many decades ago when Dell Publishing was doing some "house cleaning"! The comic books are extremely fragile and darkened around the edges. The covers are not quite as fragile, because they were printed on better paper. Please note that we don't use a "comic guide" grading system, and OUR grading scale is completely different from standard comic book grading. Our "very good" is completely different from a comic book graded "very good". We provide images of the comic book covers, plus 2 interior 2-page spreads, which should allow you to get a sense of the condition of this comic book. Note: We have 11 images of this bound volume, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 11 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 1. Condition: good. The bound volume surely originally contained comic books in excellent condition, but due to how they were stored, they are fragile and brown around the edges. The covers are not nearly as fragile, because they were printed on better paper. Look closely at our images before bidding on this bound volume of very rare comic books.
