An Original Vintage Movie Exhibitor Magazine (measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/4" [19 x 23 cm]) (Learn More) The Motion Picture Monthly, the monthly magazine published by "Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America". This slim magazine was really important, because the President of the publisher was Will H. Hays, who would soon rise to tremendous prominence in Hollywood when their "Production Code" (which had been implemented in 1930) would be adopted by all the major studios, and that eliminated all the sex, violence, drug references, etc., which had been growing in movies by the year! This magazine was devoted to reviewing current movies and telling theater owners which ones were "objectionable", or "evil and cheap", and which one were not ("clean and wholesome"). Note that this magazine is extremely rare (we have only ever been consigned one issue of it, but that one says "Vol. VII - No. 6", so there were obviously quite a few issues).
