An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Law of the North, the 1918 Irvin Willat silent Canada romantic kidnapping crime thriller ("By Ella Stuart Carson"; about a man who works at a French Canadian outpost in the frozen north, and his girl is kidnapped, and he spends the entire movie tracking down the kidnapper and getting her back) starring Charles Ray, Doris May, Robert McKim, Gloria Hope, and Charles K. French. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a re-release scene card from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this lobby card! Note that this card (like many 1918-1919 lobby cards) was printed on a very thin paper stock. This was an experiment done in late 1918 and 1919 only, and was abandoned soon after (likely theater owners complained that the thin paper lobby cards did not last nearly as long as those printed on heavy paper stock). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There is paper loss in the bottom right blank corner and two tiny stains to the left of that. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
