Original Vintage Theatrical Jumbo Window Card Movie Poster (measures 18" x 22 1/2") (Learn More)

The Singing Fool, the 1928 Lloyd Bacon romantic love triangle family relationship musical melodrama ("See and Hear"; "The Sensational Talking Singing Picture"; "From the play by Leslie S. Barrows"; about a singing waiter who becomes a Broadway star, and he gets married and has a child, but then his wife leaves him for a gangster; that causes him to become massively depressed, and he ends up a bum, but gets his old job back as a waiter, where a friendly cigarette girl helps him make a comeback; but then his son dies the night of his return to the stage, and he sings his son's favorite song!) starring Al Jolson, Betty Bronson, Josephine Dunn, Arthur Housman, Reed Howes, Davey Lee, and Edward Martindel

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this jumbo window card measures 18" x 22 1/2" and probably was created for a specific theater. Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 22" x 28", or that it was made by Warner Bros..

Condition: good to very good. the poster has tack holes in the corners and small paper loss in the top right corner; there is a 2" tear in the top of the right border extending into the blue background; there are many light brown dot water stains throughout the poster; but they are mostly contained to the white areas; there is surface scuffing in the orange letter of Al Jolson's name, which may be a printing defect; While I could imagine many people framing this window card as is (since the defects are not very noticeable or distracting), this window card is an ideal candidate for restoration. A talented restorer could certainly repair the minor border defects and remove most of the dot water stains without putting paint on the poster, and after proper restoration, this poster would look wonderful!
