An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan and the Leopard Woman, the 1946 Kurt Neumann jungle action adventure thriller ("SWORN to bring back Tarzan's body for fiendish jungle ritual!"; "Her eyes promise love... her lips sneer death!"; "Original story and Screen Play by Carroll Young"; "Based on characters created by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Johnny Weissmuller (in the title role as Tarzan; the 1924 Olympic swimming champion who is best remembered for playing Jungle Jim and for his role in this series), Brenda Joyce (as Jane), Johnny Sheffield (as Boy), Acquanetta (in the title role as the Leopard Woman), Edgar Barrier, and Dennis Hoey. Note that Maureen O'Sullivan tired of playing Jane in the Tarzan movies, and in 1943, two Tarzan movies were made with no Jane at all, and in 1945, she was replaced by Brenda Joyce, who played the role in five movies. Also note that apparently "Cheetah" had a terrible agent when he signed for this movie, because he received no billing at all, even though he is on the posters and other advertising, and plays a prominent role in the movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There are creases, tears, smudges, and a few pinholes around the edges of the poster. Someone put tape on the front of the left of the bottom border (and paper tape on the back of that corner), apparently mostly to re-attach a missing corner. They also put a piece of tape on the front of the middle of the right border. There is surface paper loss in the left half of the horizontal foldline. This rare poster has clear defects, but most of them are in the borders, and after proper restoration by a talented restorer, the poster will look great, and there will be little paint restoration within the image!
