An Undated (probably late 1940s) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 28" x 44") (Learn More) False Colors, the 1943 George Archainbaud action adventure cowboy western ("'Hoppy' at his best!"; "Thundering Action!"; "Death to the loser!"; "Based on characters created by Clarence E. Mulford") starring William Boyd ("as Hopalong Cassidy"), Andy Clyde, Jimmy Rogers, Douglass Dumbrille, Claudia Drake, Tom Seidel, Robert Mitchum (billed as "Bob Mitchum"), Glen Strange, Pierce Lyden, and Roy Barcroft NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that Robert Mitchum had a very small part in this Hopalong Cassidy western. After he became famous with "The Story of G.I. Joe", William Boyd, who had purchased the rights to all the Hopalong Cassidy movies in 1944, re-released all of the Hoppy movies, but on the Mitchum titles, he gave Mitchum starring billing (sometimes as "Bob Mitchum") just under his own credit, because of his greatly increased popularity! Condition: good to very good. There are many tears and there is paper loss in the lower part of the left blank border. There is paper loss in the top left corner. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty good condition. This week we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like creasing, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
