A Folded German Special Poster (measures 11 3/4" x 18 1/4" [30 x 46 cm]) (Learn More)

Deutsche Volksgenossen! (literally translates to "German Comrades"), the 1933 German poster encouraging people to support the Volksbund Fur Das Deutschtum im Ausland (German People's Association Abroad) and featuring a supportive quote from Nazi regional party leader Hans Schemm who mentions that the organization aids German people in "endangered" German areas (perhaps symbolized by the giant hand on the poster). The purpose of the organization was to be a cultural mediator and link between Germans living all over the world and the German mother country. It went through several name changes between it's founding in 1881 (as Allgemeiner Deutscher Schulverei) and when it ceased operation in 2019 (as Verein Fur Deutsche Kulturbeziehungen im Ausland or VDA). Note that this poster features Otto Ottler art of a farmer seeding his field with a church in the background and a giant hand above.
Artist: Otto Ottler
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has tiny separation at the center crossfold that has been repaired with tape from the back and there is some tiny discoloration in that area. It has some creases and tiny pinholes around the edges but is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
