An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Ruggles of Red Gap, the 1923 James Cruze silent comedy cowboy western (based on the novel by Harry Leon Wilson; about a couple in a western town who end up with an English valet, and how he tries to teach them manners, and both the valet and the town learn a lot from each other) starring Edward Everett Horton (billed as "Edward Horton"; in his fourth movie, in the title role as Ruggles), Ernest Torrence, Lois Wilson, Fritz Ridgeway, Charles Ogle, and Louise Dresser. This movie was remade with the same title with Charles Laughton in the lead role in 1935, and was remade yet again with Bob Hope in the lead role, this time titled "Fancy Pants" in 1950. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
