What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with some extra folds, slight darkening, small tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but after it was backed, it was displayed, and the reds in the poster faded considerably. Please bear this in mind before bidding on this poster. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
