Robert Preston was an actor from the 1930s to the 1980s. Some of his movies include: All The Way Home, How The West Was Won, S.O.B., Victor Victoria (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and many others, but he is best remembered for his starring role in the stage and screen versions of "The Music Man". He passed away in 1987 at the age of 68.
Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Robert Preston! He inscribed it to "Cap Somers", who was a Hollywood stuntman from the 1930s through the 1960s, and Preston humorously wrote "The man I have to do all the rough stuff for", when obviously the reverse was true! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 1/2" x 9" [19 x 23 cm]. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
