Date Sold 4/11/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original 1936 Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Wolves (released in the U.S. in 1936 as "Wanted Men"), the 1930 Albert de Courville English Canada crime melodrama ("A thunderbolt of dramatic thrills!"; based on the play by Georges Toudoze; about a woman who is kidnapped by a gang of thieves in the Arctic, but the leader of the gang develops feelings for her and helps her escape) starring Charles Laughton, ("supported by") Dorothy Gish, Malcolm Keen, Jack Osterman, Arthur Margetson, and Franklyn Bellamy. Note that this movie was Dorothy Gish's first talking movie and Charles Laughton's second (after an appearance in an odd musical film). It was only 57 minutes long when it was released as "Wolves" in England and Canada, and was cut to just 37 minutes when it was released in the U.S. under the title "Wanted Men". Movie paper of any kind from any country is beyond rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a single title card from this movie, but never before these five scene cards! Condition: good. Each card has a light vertical and slightly diagonal crease through the middle. Three have tears of varying lengths around the edges that are mostly repaired with tape from the back.
