An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8" x 11" [20 x 28 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Hollywood Boulevard, the 1936 Robert Florey California all-star movie-making melodrama (about a washed up star who agrees to write his memoirs for a sleazy fan magazine, and he starts telling sensational stories about his past love affairs, and everyone begs him to stop, but the publisher of the magazine blackmails him into continuing) starring John Halliday, Marsha Hunt, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), C. Henry Gordon, Esther Ralston, Esther Dale, Frieda Inescort, Betty Compson, Maurice Costello, Bryant Washburn, Roy d'Arcy, and Francis X. Bushman. Note that in a clever casting move, real life silent stars were cast in this movie in small roles (but insensitively, the advertising said "The picture that brings back twenty former top-flight stars of the screen to fame once more!")! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic.
