Uproarious Fun!"; "The Big Musical Show!"; "'Let there be wine, women and song. On second thought... Never mind the wine and the song!'"; about a singer who inherits a department store, and she hires a detective to protect her from its crooked manager) starring The Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx [as Wolf J. Flywheel], Chico Marx [as Ravelli], and Harpo Marx [as Wacky]), Tony Martin, Virginia Grey, Margaret Dumont, Douglass Dumbrille, Marion Martin, Henry Armetta, and Ann Demitrio. Note that the Marx Brothers are billed as the "Marx Bros." on the advertising. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Al Hirschfeld Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had creases, scuffs, and tiny bits of surface paper loss on the foldlines, and pinholes in the corners. There were some red smudges in the bottom of the dress of the girl at right. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The insert was linenbacked a long time ago, with no excess, and the slight restoration paint on the folds is more noticeable now than it was then (but it is not distracting from any reasonable viewing distance, and any restorer could easily touch up it, with or without re-backing the poster).
