An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 87 pages) (Learn More) Damn Yankees, the classic 1958 George Abbott & Stanley Donen New York City baseball sports Broadway musical ("What Lola wants Lola gets"; "Every song... And every scene that made the show New York's greatest!"; "Two lost souls"; "Goodbye old gal"; "Six months out of every year"; "You gotta have heart"; "Those were the good old days"; "Who's got the pain"; "A little brains, a little talent"; "Over 3 years on the stage!! Overwhelming on the screen!"; "Choreography by Bob Fosse") starring Tab Hunter, Gwen Verdon (as Lola), Ray Walston, Russ Brown, Shannon Bolin, and Bob Fosse NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script was the personal copy of W. Richard Lang Jr., who was the son of Walter Lang, who directed "The King and I" and many other movies. W. Richard Lang was an uncredited assistant director on this movie. The script comes together with 4 pages of rehearsal schedules and three pages that revised the first three pages of the script. On the top of one of the rehearsal schedules is W. Richard Lang's name written in pen. Note that this script is the final draft from March 21, 1958 and the screenplay was written by George Abbott. Also note that there is a single blue revision page from 4/7/58. Condition: fair. Page 58 is missing, as well as page 86, which is the second to last page of the script. We don't know why they would be missing, because it seems odd that someone would have removed those two pages. Obviously, one could likely locate a different example of this script and make photocopies of those two missing pages, and this IS the original final draft script as noted above, but bear in mind this significant defect of two missing pages before placing a bid on it. Note that we have photographed the cover of the script, the title page, the final page of the script (the one that reads "THE END"), and one or more interior pages. These images will not only provide important information about the script, but they also allow you to closely judge the condition of the script. The script is 100% complete!
