Date Sold 9/6/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Paramount Week, the 1926 glass slide ("9th Annual Paramount Week") advertising a Paramount studios promotion from September 5th to the 11th. Note that many theaters at this time only showed the product of one or two studios, so the studios would offer these kinds of incentives to the theaters to try to get them to book only their product during a single week. Note that this was the ninth annual such event, indicating it began in 1918, and we know that it continued through 1939 at least (we have seen ones from several different events, including the first one, the one from 1939, and several from in between those dates)! Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges. Learn More about condition grades
