Herne's famous melodrama of New England and the Frozen North"; about an elderly New England seaman who is in love with a much younger woman, but she prefers her young boyfriend, and the seaman sacrifices his own life so that the two can be together) starring Hobart Bosworth, Pauline Starke, Theodore Von Eltz, James Gordon, and Francis Powers. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
