An Original Vintage Theatrical Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More)

Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan and the Huntress, the 1947 Kurt Neumann action jungle adventure fantasy thriller ("Animal hordes scream vengeance against invading humans!"; "Based upon the Characters Created by Edgar Rice Burroughs"; "Original Story and Screenplay by Jerry Gruskin and Rowland Leigh") starring Johnny Weissmuller (in the title role as Tarzan), Brenda Joyce (as Jane), Johnny Sheffield (as "Boy"), Patricia Morison, and Barton MacLane. Note that Maureen O'Sullivan tired of playing Jane in the Tarzan movies, and in 1943, two Tarzan movies were made with no Jane at all, and in 1945, she was replaced by Brenda Joyce, who played the role in five movies.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that someone had this three-sheet framed, and the framer glued the entire poster to a piece of very large foamcore. That worked well in keeping the poster flat within the frame, but of course, it creates a real problem for shipping the poster, because it will need to be sent in an EXTREMELY large flat package. While we can make such a package, it will require that we pack this poster between four super heavy 43" x 83" boards that we have purchased for $10 each, meaning that the cost of packaging this poster alone is $40 (because of the expense of the large cardboard). VERY IMPORTANT! This poster will likely cost around $200 total to send within the U.S. via ground UPS (but of course, we will only charge the actual cost of shipping) plus the above stated $40 for the packaging materials (we are also auctioning similar size posters that could be packed together with this one, and if so, the shipping per poster will come down drastically). Please bear this shipping cost in mind before placing a bid on this poster (and it would surely cost many hundreds of dollars to send it out of the United States, so we ask that no one bid on this poster unless they can accept delivery of it within the U.S.).

Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. IN THE CASE OF EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, THE SHIPPING COST WILL BE VERY HIGH, SO PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THAT ADDED SHIPPING AMOUNT, AND INCLUDE THAT AMOUNT IN WHAT YOU BID (so if you would pay $150, but the shipping is likely $100, then only bid $50). And those who live outside the U.S. and who do not have a U.S. address to ship to SHOULD NOT BID AT ALL ON EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, BECAUSE THEY COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SEND OUTSIDE THE U.S.

Condition: good to very good. The poster had some tears and small paper loss on the folds, with some border wear prior to being glued to the foamcore. Someone performed some restoration to the folds.
