Movita was an American-born exotic looking actress (her Mexican parents crossed the border so she could be born American). She was born Maria Luisa Castaneda (she was billed under various names until MGM hit on the single name "Movita", which was surely to make her sound Polynesian instead of Mexican). She had bit parts in early 1930s movies, but then got her big break when she played the native girlfriend of Clark Gable in the 1935 "Mutiny on the Bounty". She made a couple dozen more movies after that. Interestingly, when Marlon Brando was making a remake of "Mutiny on the Bounty", he looked up Movita, and had two children with her (Miko and Rebecca) and married her, even though she was in her 40s and 7 years older than him. She retired from movies in 1955, except for a few cameo appearances, but appeared in the TV series "Knots Landing" in the late 1980s as Ana, and she passed away in 2015 at the age of 98, the final surviving member of the original Mutiny on the Bounty cast.
Important Added Info: Note that three of these stills have been trimmed and now measure 7 1/2" x 10".

Condition: good. Three of the stills have been trimmed neatly at bottom, and many the stills have varying degrees of staple holes, creases, stains, and/or scuffs, but a few stills are in generally nice condition.
