An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 41 1/4" [71 x 105 cm]) (Learn More) Should a Girl Say Yes?, the 1952 Klaytan W. Kirby sexploitation teens-getting-in-trouble movie ("The season's most sensational picture!"; "Adam said yes ...Eve said...? Should a Girl Say Yes?"; "Clean! Moral! Decent!"; "Positively no one under 16 admitted"; "The amazing adventures of a beautiful blonde who 'went wild out west'"; "A picture to thrill and delight you..."; "If you like 'Unusual' Entertainment you'll love... Should a Girl Say Yes?"; "Wonderous [sic] Scenes of Sheer Lovliness! [sic]"; "She wanted 'to live and learn'...and she found plenty of males eager to help her with both!") starring Dorothy Abbott, Thad Swift, Phil Rhodes, Carol Brewster, and "The most glamorous gorgeous girls ever captured on film!". Note that this is a very confusing movie! IMDB has the date as 1953 but we have seen newspaper ads from January 1st, 1953 stating it's run was "ending tonight", which indicates that it was released in late 1952. Like many sexploitation movies from the time, it was released under several titles and stayed in theaters for years during it's first release as it moved around the country. This film even had a version with additional 3D footage added to cash in on the 3D craze of the time! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie was re-released in 1953 (see above), and posters and pressbooks exist from that re-release. But this is only the second time we have auctioned the very rare 1948 first release one-sheet, and that only other time we auctioned it was 9 years ago, when it sold for $460. Finally, note that both this poster and the earlier one-sheet we auctioned were from the "Globe Poster Corp". We don't know if there was also a poster from any other printer (if there was, we have never auctioned it!). Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41 1/4" [71 x 105 cm]. Note that this poster is one of a remarkable collection of 24 sexploitation one-sheets (and one two-sheet from one of the 24 titles) which are mostly from the 1940s, and most of them are ones we have never auctioned before. These are among the most desirable sexploitation posters ever, because they are far more rare than those from later years! Condition: fair to good. The poster had a 22" tear in the upper left, running at a slight diagonal from the upper left border to the girl's forehead at upper right. It has paper tape on the back of that tear. There is a 4" vertical tear above the top crossfold, with 4" of horizontal separation at the top crossfold. There is a 5" tear near the middle of the left border and pinholes, small tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges. There is ink transfer scattered throughout the poster, caused while the poster was folded. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored. Learn More about condition grades
