An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card #3 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Interrupted Melody, the 1955 Curtis Bernhardt musical biography melodrama ("The greatest musical drama since 'The Great Caruso'"; "MGM presents a wonderful motion picture in CinemaScope and COLOR!"; "Based on Her Life Story by Marjorie Lawrence"; the story of famed opera singer Marjorie Lawrence, who was stricken by polio at the height of her career) starring Glenn Ford, Eleanor Parker (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Marjorie Lawrence), Roger Moore (in one of his earliest credited roles!), Cecil Kellaway, and Peter Leeds NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Eleanor Parker! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed lobby cards that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahoney Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). In the past, we have auctioned many signed stills from Mr. Sorgi's amazing collection, and just a few lobby cards, but in this set of auctions, we are auctioning 156 signed lobby cards, all at one time (we are also auctioning some more signed stills from the same collection)! Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this card is authentic! This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase many great signed lobby cards. Condition: fair to good. There is a pattern overprinted on the back of the card (not that unusual with 1950s lobby cards). There are staple holes around the edges, where a still was attached on the back, and the overprinting slightly bleeds through to the front. Learn More about condition grades
