An Autographed 3 1/4" x 5" Cut Menu Page (Learn More)

Paul Robeson was a black African American actor from the 1920s to the 1950s, and he was well known for his wonderful singing voice, and his many political activities. Some of his movies include: Show Boat, Tales of Manhattan, and King Solomon's Mines, but he also appeared in stage plays and gave concerts! Robeson passed away in 1976 at the age of 77.

You can learn much more about Paul Robeson by visiting the following link! Against the Grain: Black Film Pioneers: Part IV: Paul Robeson
Important Added Info: Note that this item (which measures 3 1/4" x 5" [8 x 13 cm]) has been personally autographed (signed) by Paul Robeson! This is a very interesting item! Mr. Robeson ate at a West End restaurant in England in 1938, and the restaurant had a fully handwritten menu, listing all of the items they had that day! Someone had Mr. Robeson autograph the back of that menu, and they cut out the piece that he signed, and wrote the date on it "28/9/1938", and you can see many of the items from the menu on the back, which include "calfs tongue and tomato", along with the prices of those items, and they were handwritten as we said (see our image)! Our consignor obtained this autograph at an auction, but they did not supply a letter of authenticity. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display!

Condition: good. There are light brown dot stains scattered throughout the paper, and it was partially folded down the middle at one time. There is part of a handwritten menu on the back (see above and see our images).
