He was a major silent star, surely best remembered for his role as Messala in the 1925 version of "Ben-Hur". He continued acting for many years! Some of his movies include: The Return of Richard Neal (in the title role), Thoroughbreds Don't Cry, Sabrina, and The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini. Note that Bushman was the original "King of the Movies" before that label was attached to Clark Gable! Bushman passed away in 1966 at the age of 83. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Francis X. Bushman! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. She does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. Also included with the autographed greeting card is the envelope it was originally mailed in (the envelope has a return address for Mr. Bushman). As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
