An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Barefoot Contessa, the 1954 Joseph L. Mankiewicz Italian/U.S. romantic melodrama ("'The World's most beautiful animal!'"; also written by Joseph L. Mankiewicz; told in flashbacks, it starts with the funeral of a glamorous movie star, and men in her life recall their interactions with her) starring Humphrey Bogart, Ava Gardner, Edmond O'Brien (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Marius Goring, Valentina Cortesa, Rossano Brazzi, Elizabeth Sellars, Warren Stevens, Bessie Love, and Riccardo Rioli. Note that this movie has a similar structure to that of Citizen Kane, which was written by screenwriter Joseph L. Mankiewicz's older brother, Herman J. Mankiewicz! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
