An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Sheet Music (measures 7" x 10 3/4"; 28 pages) (Learn More)

Romance of the Underworld, the 1928 Irving Cummings silent romantic love triangle melodrama (about a gangster's moll who works in a nightclub that is raided, and a kindly cop helps her to "go straight", and she meets a nice business man, but will the gangster be able to forget about her?) starring Mary Astor, Ben Bard, Robert Elliott, John Boles, and Helen Lynch. Note that this movie was silent, but that it had a synchronized soundtrack for major theaters and smaller theaters were given a score for local musicians to play from.

Important Added Info: Note that when one thinks of "sheet music", one normally thinks of a 4-page or 6-page arrangement for piano, which is what was normally sold from the 1910s on to the public, so they could play songs from movies at home. However, this is not that! This is the sheet music that was supplied to a movie theater that was showing the movie without the synchronized sound, and it has parts for all instruments. We have never sold any similar sheet music before for any movie, and we are sure that sheet music like this is extremely rare.

Condition: good to very good. The covers are separated at the spine and there are some tears on both covers. The interior sheet music is in nice condition (but those 28 pages are not bound in any way, so they could be distributed to various musicians.
