It was held from September 20th to October 5th, and movies shown included: The Lost Weekend, Gilda, Fall of Berlin, and many more. During the first festival, the jury was made up of one representative per country, with French historian Georges Huisman as the Jury President. Important Added Info: Note that not only was this card made for the very first Cannes Film Festival, but it was also actually mailed, and it has a special postmark for the first festival on the back as well!
