An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War I Poster (measures 18 3/4" x 29 1/2" [48 x 75 cm]) (Learn More) Hun or Home?, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bonds poster ("Buy more Liberty Bonds") urging citizens to buy war bonds, and featuring Henry Raleigh art of a young woman holding a baby as a German soldier with bloody hands approaches. Artist: Henry Raleigh Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was never folded. Most of the borders were trimmed off, and the poster had darkened. It had a 12" tear in the center of the top border going through the left of the "H". It had small tears in the rest of the top border and some minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above.
