A Vintage Hardcover Book (measures 6 1/4" x 9 1/4" [16 x 23 cm]; 1362 pages) (Learn More) Radio Annual & Television Yearbook, the 1957 illustrated reference book with information on radio stations across the country, as well as information on advertising agencies, television programming, producers and much more (and of course, all the TV information is from the very beginnings of nationwide television). Note that this publication was published by "Radio Daily" magazine, and we know that there was a similar book called "Radio Directory" that was published by Variety magazine, but the only one of those we have seen is from 1939/40, so we don't know if these were ever published during the same years. Obviously, this "Radio Annual & Television Yearbook" book was similar to the books on movies and television that were published by Film Daily. We have only auctioned two examples of this book, one from 1950 and one from 1961, so it obviously at least spanned those years, but we don't know how many other years it might have been published (we also wonder if 1950 wasn't the first year that television was included, because the title page of the book says "The 1950 Radio Annual", and it looks like someone forgot to update that when they added television that year!). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and an interior 2-page spread. Condition: fair to good. At some point, the bottom right of all the pages came in contact with moisture, and the pages are all rippled in that area, but they are not stuck together.
