An Original 1977 (from the first Japanese release of this movie) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Japanese Movie Poster (measures 20" x 28 1/2") (Learn More) Zero de Conduite: Jeunes Diables au College (released in the U.S. as "Zero For Conduct"), the classic 1933 Jean Vigo French boarding school juvenile delinquent comedy short starring Jean Daste, Robert le Flon, Delphin, and Du Verron, and Leon Larive. Note that this classic movie opened in Paris in 1933, and it shocked and outraged many critics and film goers, and it was immediately banned! It was not shown again in France until 1946, when it was rediscovered by critics, and of course, it came to be considered a classic, and it is clear that it greatly inspired both Francois Truffaut's "The 400 Blows" and Lindsay Anderson's "If..." (and to be fair, its most famous scene, with a wild pillow fight, clearly itself found inspiration in Abel Gance's "Napoleon"!). We do not know if any posters exist from the 1933 showing. There are French one-panel posters from 1946, and there are also many reproductions and much later re-releases of the 1946 poster. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Masakatsu Ogasawara Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and had the most minor of border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
