Artists and Models Abroad, the 1938 Mitchell Leisen romantic comedy musical ("A riotous trip! Fun and laffs all the way!"; "Original Story by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse"; "Based on an idea by J.P. McEvoy") starring Jack Benny, Joan Bennett, Mary Boland, Charley Grapewin, Fritz Feld, Joyce Compton, and 'The Yacht Club Boys'

Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook is very unusual, in that it doesn't have color covers or even covers that look any different than the interior pages! This is explained by the tagline on the top of the cover of the pressbook which says "A NEW STYLE PRESS BOOK - STREAMLINED FOR SERVICE!", and down below in the bottom center of the cover, it says that this new format eliminates "expensive cover art and other embellishments". Obviously, this was a wacky money saving idea someone at Paramount came up with, and it was obviously quickly abandoned, likely because no theater owners liked it, and they must have quickly gone back to the regular way with elaborate covers, because we have never seen another Paramount pressbook from this period like this before! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut and was never folded. There is some darkening on the spine and some slight wear around the edges of the covers.
