Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster also had two horizontal folds near the center, with a vertical fold. It had minor wear on the foldlines, pinholes in the corners, and some creases and faint red stains in the bottom right corner, where there was a tax stamp. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, and they simply mounted it onto a thin linen (and the poster is slightly "lifting" from the linen in the bottom corners, but it could be easily re-attached by any restorer without re-backing the poster).
