An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) A Regular Scout, the 1926 David Kirkland silent cowboy western starring Fred Thomson, Silver King (billed as "the horse with a personality"), Olive Hasbrouck, William Courtright, T. Roy Barnes, and Margaret Seddon. Note that star Fred Thomson was a major silent cowboy star (along with Tom Mix), but he is forgotten today, because he tragically died of tetanus just when sound movies started. Surely there should be a film biography of his life (perhaps Johnny Depp could play the lead role!). Also note that Fred Thomson's horse, Silver King, was very talented! He could count to 100 by tapping his hoof, and he could also identify colors (but these kinds of horse tricks have often been questioned over the years as being accomplished through help from the horse's owner or trainer). But there is no doubt that Silver King's talents contributed to Fred Thomson's success! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1926 movie posters from this Fred Thomson movie are incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single poster or lobby card from this movie until we received this lobby card! Condition: very good to fine. There is tiny paper loss in the bottom left corner with a piece of tape behind it and a few faint smudges around the edges. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition.
