Important Added Info: Note that this script is the shooting draft for the episode of this series called "The Happy Days" (sometimes referred to as "Love and the Happy Days") from December 22, 1971 and the screenplay was written by Garry Marshall. This is a very historic episode! This episode aired at the end of 1971, and it had Ron Howard as "Richie Cunningham" and Marion Ross as his mother "Marion", but the other cast members were not the ones who later appeared on the TV series "Happy Days". In August of 1973, "American Graffiti" premiered in theaters, and Ron Howard played a character very similar to the Richie Cunningham character from the above episode. Just six months later, Garry Marshall created the TV show "Happy Days". Because of how soon it was after American Graffiti, many people thought it was a "rip-off" of that movie, but actually, it was based on this TV episode, written by Garry Marshall, which predated the movie by two years! So this script is the original 1971 script for the "Love, American Style" episode which proved to be the basis of the incredibly successful later TV series "Happy Days"! Included with the script are many items, bound above the cover of the script (attached with the brads), are five pages of shooting schedule. Bound to the back of the script (again attached with the brads, between the last script page and the back cover) are around a dozen wardrobe pages, and many of the pages are filled out with the actual clothes that the lead characters wore in different scenes (including Richie, Potsy, Howard, and Chuck). There are many notes scattered throughout the script that relate to the clothes that the actors wear. There are also three "return sheets" from Paramount for many articles of clothing that were returned, and there is a large 12" x 17" chart, which is from some other show other than Love, American Style, but it gives all the clothing sizes of all the actors who worked on that show. Given all the clothing related items with this script and the many notes, it seems a certainty that this script belonged to a wardrobe person who worked on this! Also note that this script comes with a certificate of authenticity from Piece of the Past, Inc.
