Better than Boom Town!"; about a con man who wins a bunch of money and marries the beautiful straight laced daughter of a judge and he opens a casino and wants to take over the town, but his wife wants him to "go straight") starring Clark Gable, Lana Turner, Frank Morgan, Claire Trevor, Marjorie Main, Albert Dekker, Henry O'Neill, and Chill Wills NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned two in all our years of auctioning and the last one was in 2009! Note also that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a diagonal 3 1/2" tear at upper center (repaired with tape from the back) and there are some smaller tears around the edges (one only slightly extends into the image at upper left and the others affect blank paper, and the ones at left and right are repaired with tape from the back.) There is a a smudge at right to the left of Gable's image and there are a few light creases that are not very noticeable or distracting (mostly at upper left and left - see our image). The very rare poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after paperbacking it would display quite well! Learn More about condition grades
