An Original Vintage 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Jayne Mansfield was an actress from the 1950s to the 1960s. Some of her movies include: Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?, The Girl Can't Help It, and A Guide for the Married Man. She never achieved the kind of mainstream success that Marilyn Monroe did, and she died tragically in an auto accident in 1967 at the age of 34. She was previously married to weightlifter Mickey Hargitay, and her daughter with Hargitay is Mariska Hargitay (the TV actress best known for her work on "Law and Order: SVU") Important Added Info: What a wonderful wacky still this is! Apparently, the National Eutetic Weldor's Club voted Jayne Mansfield "Miss Weldor of 1956" (apparently, "welders" were known as "weldors" back then!), and to commemorate the occasion, she posed by her certificate (not a trophy!), which was on a wall with a welding mask and gloves, and next to it Miss Mansfield is in a bathing suit and pretending to blow a flute, which is "snake charming" a welding apparatus rising out of a basket! Condition: fair. The still was folded twice horizontally, once across the center, and once 2 1/2" from the bottom edge, and there are rough creases along those folds.
