An Unfolded Two-Sided Special Yard Long Poster (measures 7 1/4" x 28" [18 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Marguerite Clark was a leading actress from the 1910s to the 1920s. She started in 1914 when she was 31, but she was very small and child-like, and she had no trouble passing for a teenager! She was extremely popular in the late 1910s, but she hated acting, and she planned to retire "at the top". In 1921, she was voted the favorite female actress by the Quigley poll, and she promptly retired! Some of her movies include: Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch, Snow White, and Come Out of the Kitchen. Clark passed away in 1940 at the age of 57. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is double-sided, but not in the regular way. There is a different image on each side of the poster. We have provided an image of each side, and please realize that the winner of this auction will receive ONE poster!
UPDATED 03/31/2019: Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that this type of poster is called a "yard long" and it was available to customers who purchased Pompeian cosmetics! Note that this item can be shipped in a standard size tube. However, the poster itself is extremely long, so it can't be combined with other rolled posters, because they would get damaged by being combined with this poster. Condition: very good. The poster has a few creases and small tears near some edges but overall, especially given its age, it is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
