An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Falcon in Danger, the 1943 William Clemens World War II (WWII) airplane aviation terrorism detective mystery crime thriller (about a passenger plane that crashes at a small airport, but there is no one on the plane at all; The Falcon investigates and finds it is part of a terrorist plot against the government) starring Tom Conway (in the title role as The Falcon), Jean Brooks, Elaine Shepard ("a top Manhattan model and billboard beauty" making her film debut), Amelita Ward, Cliff Clark, Clarence Kolb, and Erford Gage. Note that this is one of twelve movies that starred Tom Conway as The Falcon. In the first three movies, George Sanders (who had previously played "The Saint" in a series of movies) played The Falcon, but he apparently tired of the role, and wanted to leave, and instead of ending the series, or having a new actor play the role, he passed it on to Tom Conway in the fourth movie, "The Falcon's Brother" (they played brothers in the movie and in real life they were brothers!) in a clever move, the script had George Sanders' character killed, and his brother, played by Tom Conway, shows up and solves his murder, and becomes the "new" Falcon; and Conway went on to make a total of twelve Falcon movies. Important Added Info: NOTE: Most lobby cards from before 1940 (and some from after that date) did not have individual lobby card numbers like later lobby cards (those printed after the advent of NSS in 1940) did. So we have arbitrarily assigned numbers to unnumbered lobby cards, only when we sell more than one from a set, so that there is a convenient way to tell different scenes apart. (Note that we do not use #1, because this is commonly used to signify the title card). The exception to this is sets of cards that did not have title cards. Condition: very good to fine. Note that this card is completely unrestored and has never had any restoration of any kind, nor has there been any tape on the front or back of the card. The back of the card is completely blank, with no writing or stamps. Learn More about condition grades
