An Original Vintage Die-Cut Advertising Poster (measures 12" x 19 1/2" [30 x 50 cm]) (Learn More) Alox was a company which was founded in 1919 by John Frier. He came up with a method of squeezing a thin leaf of metal around the end of a shoelace and crimping it in place by pressure alone, and the now-familiar shoelace aiglet was invented. Alox shoelaces were a fixture in shoe stores for decades, and backed by fairly aggressive marketing in terms of signage and point-of-sale displays. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
