What IS linenbacking? Learn More

UPDATED 09/08/2011: Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that when this movie was first released in 1937, Walt Disney had changed distributors from United Artists to RKO, and at first RKO only created a large standee with a large image of Mickey, and they created small horizontal cards that were inserted into Mickey's hand, and those cards were the only first release items for this movie! In 1949, when the cartoon was first re-released (the poster listed here) RKO created a one-sheet for the movie for the first time, so the one-sheet offered here is the first one-sheet that was created for this movie (but it is a re-release, because the movie was first released 12 years earlier, and the small horizontal card was created at that time).

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds and tiny paper loss at the middle crossfold. It had minor wear on the foldlines and some pinholes and tiny tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
