Date Sold 7/3/2016 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Zane Grey's Under the Tonto Rim, the 1933 Henry Hathaway cowboy western (based on the novel 'The Bee Hunter' by Zane Grey) starring Stuart Erwin, Raymond Hatton, Verna Hillie, Fred Kohler, and John Lodge. Note that John Lodge has an interesting background! He came from an important New England family (his grandfather was William Henry Cabot Lodge), and he shocked them by becoming a movie actor! He appeared in a couple dozen movies between 1932 and 1940. He quit the movies to serve in World War II, and afterwards, in 1946, he became the second major movie actor ever to hold national political office, serving as a Congressman (the first was Helen Gahagan Douglas). In 1950, he became Governor of Connecticut, and later, he served as ambassador to several countries! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills have been trimmed and they now measure 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]. Also note that these are deluxe stills printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: good to very good. One or more of the stills has been trimmed. The trimming can either be seen in our super-sized image, or if not, then please see our measurement range above to get a sense of the amount of trimming (in some cases the trimming is very minimal and the stills measure very close to 8" x 10", and in those cases there will not be a range of measurements).
