An Original Vintage Theatrical Style A Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Dixie Merchant, the 1926 Frank Borzage silent horse equine family relationship romantic melodrama ("A thrilling handicap of love and trotting thoroughbreds"; "Based on Barry Benefield's new novel - 'The Chicken Wagon Family'"; about a man who neglects his wife and grown daughter because of his beloved race horse, but when they leave him, he sells the horse and disappears; when the horse loses a race, the man buys her back and rides the horse to victory, then reunites with his family!) starring Madge Bellamy, Jack Mulhall, J. Farrell MacDonald, Claire McDowell, and Harvey Clark. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
