An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 11" x 17 1/4" [28 x 44 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Dracula Sucks (also released as "Lust at First Bite"), the 1978 Phillip Marshak vampire horror sexploitation comedy ("This time the Count is not just going for throat!"; "teeth chattering horror"; "A new classic for Adults"; "The bite is deep, the lust is forever..."; "The most lavishly mounted extravaganza in the history of adult cinema.") starring Jamie Gillis (in the title role as Dracula), Annette Haven, John Holmes, Serena, John Leslie, and Richard Bulik (as Renfield). Note that there have been multiple versions of this film released under multiple titles, which makes it's history difficult to follow. It appears to have been released in late 1978 as a 108 minute "hardcore" adult movie under the title of Dracula Sucks, before being edited down to 82 minutes and released as Lust at First Bite. While the original was likely still in first release, a re-edited 86 minute "softcore" version with new horror footage added (mainly close-ups of bloody breast and teeth) was released under the original title of Dracula Sucks. The Lust at First Bite title was clearly chosen to take advantage of the campy 1979 George Hamilton film Love at First Bite.
