Stahl Irish Rebellion historical political biographical romantic melodrama ("The love story that rocked the foundations of an empire!"; "Biggest thrill since 'San Francisco'!"; "Based on the Broadway Stage Success"; loosely based on the life of Charles Stewart Parnell, an important figure in Ireland's desire to separate from England) starring Clark Gable (in the title role as Charles Stewart Parnell), Myrna Loy, Edna May Oliver, Edmund Gwenn, Alan Marshall, Donald Crisp, and Billie Burke NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jacques Kapralik Important Added Info: Note that this ad has images on both sides, both for this movie (see our images)! From the 1920s on, studios would create elaborate trade ads, often in full color, and often using the finest artists of the day. They would run these ads in their studio yearbooks and exhibitor magazines, and they would also print those trade ads separately and mail them individually to theater owners, trying to get them to book that specific movie. Sometimes those books and magazines are separated and the ads, which now greatly resemble the individually printed trade ads, are sold individually. The trade ad offered here was removed from a yearbook or magazine. It can be framed and displayed (but many trade ads have different images on each side, so one must choose which side to display if it is framed!). Condition: good to very good.
