An Original Vintage Theatrical Jumbo Window Card Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Personal Property (released in other English-speaking countries as "The Man in Possession"), the 1937 W.S. Van Dyke ("The Hit-Director of 'After the Thin Man' 'San Francisco' and others") romantic comedy ("At last they're together - and how!"; "Just because he's her handsome butler can she call him her 'Personal Property'"; "They're sweethearts now! And what thrills!"; about a broke American widow living in London, and a son of a formerly wealthy family is assigned to watch over her so that she can keep her house, and his brother meets her and begins romancing her, and each thinks the other is rich and the solution to their problems, but of course, she eventually falls for the handsome man who knows she is broke!) starring Jean Harlow, Robert Taylor, Reginald Owen, Una O'Connor, Henrietta Crosman, E.E. Clive, Lionel Braham, and Marla Shelton. Note that this was a re-make of the 1931 film The Man in Possession, with Robert Montgomery and Charlotte Greenwood. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this jumbo window card will need to be sent in a very large flat package that measures approximately 24" x 30" x 1" high, so please bear the shipping costs of this very large package in mind BEFORE you place a bid! Condition: good to very good. The card was unfortunately once accidentally folded slightly diagonally, slightly to the right of center, and the card cracked into two pieces. Someone simply put a piece of conservation tape on the reverse of that area, but did no restoration, so you can see the line down the poster where this occurred. You can also see that there is virtually no paper loss, and only slight surface paper loss in a line down that area. There were also nail holes in the corners, and someone filled in those nail holes, but again, did next-to-no restoration. The poster is lightly rippled. Certainly, any talented restorer could paperback this poster, and after proper restoration, the poster would look great, and the only restoration on the poster would be in a thin line down the area described above.
