Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked "Other Company" One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Clarence E. Mulford's Law of the Pampas, the 1939 Nate Watt Argentina South America cowboy western ("Based on Characters Created by Clarence E. Mulford"; about Hoppy and his friends delivering cattle in Argentina) starring William Boyd (as Hopalong Cassidy), Sidney Toler, Steffi Duna, Russell Hayden, Sidney Blackmer, Pedro de Cordoba, and "The King's Men" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that in the late 1930s and early 1940s printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets for major studio movies (mostly Warner Brothers and MGM, but also some other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have sold for more than the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! Also note that this poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good. The poster was tattered along all the folds and had paper loss at each crossfold. The top foldline had an extra foldline just above it. There were pinholes in the corners and tears, smudges, and small paper loss in the blank borders. The po. Most of the linenbacked posters we sell were restored by the finest professionals. An expertly linenbacked poster will often appear "mint", as its defects have been made to "vanish".
