An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The House of the Tolling Bell, the 1920 J. Stuart Blackton silent haunted house inheritance family relationship romantic melodrama ("From the novel by Edith Sessions Tupper"; a really wacky story of an eccentric old rich man who dies, and leaves in his will that his heirs can only inherit if they spend one year in his spooky house that is rumored to be haunted; only two of his heirs are brave enough to live in the house, and it turns out that the old man was still alive all the time, hiding in the cupola, making the house seem haunted, and he rewards the two brave young people by making them his heirs, because they passed the "test of virtue") starring May McAvoy, Bruce Gordon, Morgan Thorpe, Edward Elkas, Eulalie Jensen, and William R. Dunn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good. There is some smudging scattered through the image, with tiny paper loss in the bottom center. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Learn More about condition grades
