A 1952 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) I Walked With A Zombie, the 1943 Jacques Tourneur West Indies voodoo undead horror thriller ("She's Alive... Yet Dead! She's Dead... Yet Alive!"; "Doomed to be one of the 'walking dead' by weird and wily witchcraft... her radiant blonde loveliness ravaged through the curse of vengeful voodoo!"; "Who said the dead don't walk!"; "See It Happen - right before your startled eyes..in the screen sensation that rips the mask from the darkest secrets of forbidden voodoo!"; "Forbidden voodoo secrets sensationally revealed!"; "Voodoo... Black magic... Witchcraft... From the land of the living dead!"; "You won't believe it, but it's true!"; "Imagine yourself perhaps hungering for love - dying for just one warm kiss... yet alone in a world of people... a part of, yet apart from, everything you hold dear. Wow! What a Spot!"; "Based on an Original Story by Inez Wallace", very loosely based on the novel 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte; "Screenplay by Curt Siodmak & Ardel Wray") starring James Ellison, Frances Dee, Tom Conway, Edith Barrett, James Bell, Christine Gordon, and Darby Jones NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1943 posters on this title have always been extremely rare! Likely this is because the movie was re-released in 1952, and it may well be that the original posters were either destroyed or used up during this re-release. Condition: good to very good. There are several pairs of staple holes scattered throughout the poster. There is a NSS stamp on the back of the poster that very slightly bleeds through to the front in the "ZO" in "ZOMBIE" in the title area at lower left. There is approximately 2" of separation in the left end of the bottom horizontal fold that has been repaired with tape from the back. The bottom 3" of the poster was folded back at one time and there are some very minor creases scattered throughout. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and if one chose to have it restored it would look fantastic (although I'm sure many collectors would be quite happy with this poster as it is!).
