Cline silent Native American Indian cowboy western slapstick comedy short (about bad guys who tell Native American Indians they have to leave their land within one day, and they vow to kill any white men who show up to make them leave, and Buster wanders by, and at first they try to kill him, but then he joins their tribe and saves their land!) starring Buster Keaton (in the title role as Little Chief Paleface), Joe Roberts, and Virginia Fox NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned three different lobby cards (and NO other movie paper items) from this movie until we received this lobby card, which has a great image of Buster Keaton! Note that this lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that keeps the "feel" of the lobby card similar to that of the original lobby card. Some restorers prefer to paperback lobby cards on to a heavy backing, while others prefer to use a very lightweight backing. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the card was folded down the middle and it had tears and areas of paper loss down the middle, more so in the top half, and fortunately, primarily in the background between the figures, but affecting Keaton and the girl's hand. Otherwise, the card was in really nice condition. A really talented restorer did an excellent job paperbacking the card and recreating the missing areas in the center. The card displays well and you can see only slight signs of the restoration (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
