She was born in 1896 and started out as a professional dancer, but then was signed by Biograph, where she became known as "The Biograph Blonde", and she also appeared in several D.W. Griffith movies. Some of her movies include: The Silver Horde, The Little Country Mouse, and The Country Lovers. She passed away in 1986 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Blanche Sweet! She was replying to a fan who had sent her three photos to sign, but she was telling him that one of them was actually of Constance Talmadge, so she could only sign the other two! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
