An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Skinner's Big Idea, the 1928 Lynn Shores silent business screwball comedy ("More howls than Skinner's dress suit"; "From the story by Henry Irving Dodge"; a wacky story of a man whose bosses take a vacation and leave him in charge of their company, first telling him to fire three over the hill employees; instead, he hired a chorus girl to get the older men interested in living again, and then he himself takes a vacation, and while he is gone, the employees manage to land a giant contract, which saves the day!) starring Bryant Washburn ("The original Mr. Skinner"; in the title role as Skinner), William Orlamond, James Bradbury Sr., Robert Dudley, Ole. M. Ness, and Charles Wellesley. Note that Bryant Washburn starred in Skinner's Dress Suit in 1917, and two sequels were quickly made. In 1928, 11 years later, Joseph Kennedy had the idea of reviving the character, and the result was this movie, and Washburn was billed as "The Original Mr. Skinner", so moviegoers would know he had returned to the role, but apparently, the movie was not that successful, since there were no more in this series. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. Someone used the back of the card to create filmographies for several stars, and they glued images of two of the stars (cut in a star shape!) in the areas with their information. The front of the card only has a few faint smudges and scuffs, and the card is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
