An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Casey at the Bat, the 1916 Lloyd Ingraham silent baseball sports melodrama (based on the classic poem by Ernest Lawrence Thayer) starring DeWolf Hopper Sr. (billed as "De Wolf Hopper"; in the title role as Casey; he was the husband of Hedda Hooper from 1913 to 1924), Kate Toncray, Mae Giraci, Carl Stockdale, and William H. Brown. Note that DeWolf Hopper was also a vaudeville comedian who was the first to recite "Casey at the Bat" on stage in 1888, and it is estimated that he did over 10,000 performances of the poem over the next 44 years! Also note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that first release 1916 movie paper from this silent baseball movie is incredibly rare. We have only ever auctioned a single lobby card from this movie until we received this wonderful lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. There are staple holes in the corners and tiny brown stains in the bottom left corner. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
